It’s not every day that your little sister gets married. Being the oldest child followed by two brothers, I was BEYOND excited when I found out that I would finally be getting a sister. Finally someone to play dolls with, dress up with, barbies with! And of course, through the years, wedding with :)
When Ashlyn introduced Travis to the family (18 years later ;)), we knew that he was the one. He was kind, respectful, funny, and always able to make her laugh. He fit into our family like a missing puzzle piece. After 4 years of dating, on a beautiful September afternoon, Travis popped the question on the top of Brockway Mountain, and the wedding planning began!
After months of touring spots in the beautiful Keweenaw Peninsula (where we grew up, and where our family lives today), Ashlyn and Travis decided to get married in Copper Harbor, MI, on the same mountain where Travis proposed. If you haven’t had the chance to visit Copper Harbor yet - you should change that. It is a breathtaking natural beauty.
Ashlyn’s wedding vision was one that we welcomed with open arms - natural, simple elegance, and shades of dusty blue. With gorgeous farmhouse tables from Panache Events and Decor, a sweetheart table from our dreams, and the surrounding trees and water, this wedding was a perfect reflection of the beautiful backdrop of Copper Harbor.
